But, like most Type A sales people, I wasn’t content with just doing what everybody else was doing – I have to be the best!

I realized that social media is literally changing the way people and companies buy. And I knew, if I wanted to stay top dog, I’d better adapt. Customers need a sales person less and less as company websites, blogs, and social media sites make it simple to find out information they need and get recommendations from others whom they trust.

I use LinkedIn to network and find opportunities with great success. I have over 1300 direct connections and a lead generating machine that works for me while I sleep.
A Better Way To Sell
One day, I asked my little brother (who also is a salesperson) why we weren’t connected on LinkedIn. He told me he didn’t even have a LinkedIn account! I was shocked and immediately got him started. Soon, some of my other friends and family asked me to help them get started to, and I quickly learned that LinkedIn can do more than just help sales people prospect more effectively.

Now, after nearly 5 years of selling sociably, I’m helping other sales people master the art of sociable selling so that they can sell more effectively in today’s socially driven marketplace. I’m teaching my methods to anybody that wants to learn how to leverage social media and especially LinkedIn to grow revenue.
