There are three different ways people use LinkedIn.
Passive, Active and Aggressive. Which are you?
The people that are using LinkedIn in a passive way are those people that just want some place to store their contacts information. They use LinkedIn like a digital Rolodex. Only using it when it is time to find a new job. These people only accept invitations from people they have worked very closely with and personally know. They don’t really know how to use LinkedIn and think they don’t really have any reason to learn to use LinkedIn.

Active LinkedIn members have an up-to-date profile and are logging into LinkedIn regularly. These are people that see the value in connecting with new people and building relationships. Most people that are active have hundreds of connections in their direct network and may also be members of a few groups.
